Utility
Services - Electrical and water services are provided
by a municipally owned authority.
Electricity is transmitted by
the Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority. The town has one electric
rate, but a special rate for large users can be negotiated.
Water services is supplied, by
the city, from a 380 acre city-owned lake. A modern Micro-Flow
water plant is fully automatic and has a pumping capacity of
1.25 million gallons per day. Thee is a 650,000 gallon elevated
storage facility with pressure that remains a constant 40 to
45 psi. Minimum water rate is $4.75 a month for residential use,
with industrial rates being negotiated on projected use.
Gas services is provided by the
Arkansas-Oklahoma Gas Co., which has business and industrial
plans available.
Telephone service is provided
by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.
