Spiro Museum -
Displays of artifacts depicting time periods of the historical
significance of the Spiro area.
The Museum is located downtown at 216 South Main Street. It
is one of Spiro's historical points of interest. Volunteers of
the Spiro Historical Society operate it. Membership to the Spiro
Historical Society is open to the public and offers annual memberships
for donations of $10.00 for an individual, $25.00 for a family,
or $100.00 lifetime.
If you would like to tour the museum or are planning a group
tour and we are not open that day, just call (918) 962-5321 or
(918) 962-2017, and one of our members will arrange to give you
a tour. In addition, if you have an artifact (picture, article,
etc.) about the history of your family or Spiro that you wish
to donate to the Museum, please call (918) 962-5321, (918) 962-2708,
or (918) 962-2017.
Some of the artifacts on display are; a nineteenth century organ,
the town's first barber chair and Spiro's first printing press,
just to name a few. There are many other very interesting artifacts
in our Museum so come by today. The following pictures are just
a few of the artifacts that can be viewed at our museum.
